Screen shot 2009-11-14 at Nov 14 1.39.39 PMWhimsy Animals is a puzzle iPhone game that is well packed with 60 animal puzzles. Each puzzle, when completed, plays the animal’s sound and displays the photo from which the puzzle was derived from. There are three different levels the game can be played at. At the easiest level, you can just move your finger around the screen and the pieces magically fall into place. At the hardest level, the pieces require a more precise placement (yet still very do-able by a 4 year old).

Zach (4 years old) particularly loves puzzles so this game was a hit with him. We have another game on the phone very similar to this one, but we liked Whimsy Animals a little more – especially when the puzzle was complete and the photo is shown along with the animal sound.

Whimsy Animals is published by David Ross Software. Read more about the developer and see a video of the app on their website.
