Sound Shaker is such a cute app that will surely please your preschooler. You are given the choice of 6 sound “themes” to choose from, and then from there you can touch to create these sound bubbles. The longer you hold, the bigger the sound bubble, and the sound will be slightly different. For example, in the chimes theme, the sound is a different pitch. But choose the farm, and with each different size “bubble”, it’s a different farm animal noise. Then, move the iPhone around to make the bubbles roll around the screen and bump into each other. When they hit the side walls they sound off again. It’s a very simple “game” that’s easy to figure out and a lot of fun for the little ones to play.
Zach actually found the game on my phone before I had a chance to tell him about it. (I usually give him some sort of introduction to the new games on the phone.) In this case, he happened to wake up early one morning, found my phone, turned it on, and saw the new game and began playing with it immediately. So I woke up that morning to the sound of farm animals banging around the inside of my phone. LOL! So this is either a good sign or a bad sign – probably a good sign for the game, a bad sign in that I need to find a better place to put my phone overnight!
