Topimax is seriously harsh stuff! My daughter has all the makings of seizures except we weren't sure if they were firing off or not. Plus she has migraines. The neurologist wanted her to go on Topimax and said she would have to come in often for tests to make sure her organs were still working correctly! I did some research and decided it was not for us. I consulted her pediatrician who agreed that is a powerful med. As you said, the two advantages and probably only two were weight loss and no more migraines. The negative side effects seriously outweighted the benefits! Glad you are off of it. Sure hope they can find the perfect med for you with the least amount of side effects!

Oh, the suspense! I hate waiting. It is always so hard. I know exactly what you mean!

Have you read "Why We Get Fat" or "Four Hour Body"? I lost 10lbs in the first month. No exercise. No calorie counting. I just had to completely cut starchy carbs. (No flour, rice, sugar or potatoes.) My assistant started it 2 weeks ago and lost 8lbs.

Bonus? Not being miserable. And not having to count calories. Just thought I'd share in case you hadn't been following the adventure on my blog. I can't recommend it enough!!! :D

I like the new page design! I, too, am trying a lot more new recipes. I have found the recipes in Dr. Fuhrman's book 'Eat to Live' really great. Here is a link to some of them on his website:
http://www.drfuhrman.com/library/recipes.aspx
I am in no way affiliated with him or the book, just enjoying his program. I was recently inspired to start juicing and to learn more about Dr. Joel Fuhrman when I viewed "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" on Netflix

I'm glad you're getting some breathing room. Being able to breath is good.

Sorry the puppy didn't work out, but it does sound like you made the best decision you could make.

Re: the digestive issues. You may want to pass this along to the breeder. I experienced a similar story with a puppy, and a couple of months into it, my sister who is a doctor, mentioned it could be some kind of fungus or yeast infection. Turns out she was right. I followed the protocol on this website http://www.nzymes.com/ and it solved the problem. Might be worth exploring. Hope it helps.
